I think the movie is good. I give it a 7.5 over 10. I find the characters very rich in...um... character? If you don't already know, I find the Angel of death most fascinating and CREEPY! A female angel with androgynous characteristic. I tell you if she appear in my room in the middle of the night, sure terberak atas katil! ahahahaha!!
Anyways for a summer flick, I find the movie very satisfying. Very unlike x-men where the whole film feels....kosong somewhat.

Mmm... let's see now. Which body part shall I feast first...

I went to the No Limits play last weekend with Nabihan. I haven't been to alot of plays but I really enjoy this one. I must say that the sci-fi concept is abit out-of-this-world but the values and morals from the storyline is pretty solid. The songs are really catchy too with a mix of originals and classic pop songs. Performance wise, I think it was done well with some chacters standing out and stealing the spotlight light away from the main actors. The one thing I like most is the fact that it has a very Malaysian feel to it. But there are some of the chinese jokes which I didn't get (cause I dont understand the language. DUH!) which in turn makes me feel annoyed. But overall, I LIKE!!!
I went for entertaintment and entertained I was. - I give it a 7.5 / 10

Upfront, here’s the breakdown.
Food: 7.5 / 10
Ambiance: 8 / 10
Service: 6.5 / 10
OVERALL: 6.5 / 10

We went for dinner at the banquet on Friday, 4th July 2008 for my birthday. The last time I went there was with a friend and it was only to try their chocolate cake dessert. So I guess this would be a good time to have a full course meal and celebrate together with my immediate family.
Food
Ok. I must say first and foremost that the food here is good. Not great but well enough to be good. The portion was also alright. However the WAITING we had to do for the food to arrive is absolutely ridiculous. It is just not worth the food at all. We had to wait about 40 minutes for the main course to arrive. And after waiting more than 45 minutes for a simple crepes to arrive, we were forced to cancel it because it was absolute rubbish to wait that long for a simple crepes (which we had ordered and asked to be served together with the main course instead of dessert). However, the manager was nice enough to give us complementary a cake of our choice in substitute for the crepes. Fair is fair.
The delays; it made no sense at all because it was a Friday night and the place wasn’t packed. I mean it wasn’t completely empty either, but judging it was a Friday night and first week of the month I’m sure they would foresee that people would come out for dining since they just got their pay.
Ambiance
Beautiful. Simple yet tastefully done.
Service
The waiters were very attentive and diligent in checking up for our food. It is not their fault at all that the food arrived late; but service is not just the waiters, but also to what goes on behind closed doors (The kitchen). I honestly do not know what they are doing in there, but the delays are unacceptable whatever the reason may be.
Conclusion
Would I come here again sometime soon? NO. Not soon but maybe sometime in the future I would give it a second go. In all fairness they DO have good food and possibly the ridiculous waiting for food is just a one off thing. Here’s hoping that this is a case of right place, wrong time.

Just finished watching Kung-Fu Panda and overall I give it a 6/10. Don't get me wrong but this movie is meant for kids mainly. If you are looking for something abit deep then this movie is not for you. I went with a couple of friends so we laughed alot and it was entertaining. Dont go there for the storyline or deep meaning. Go for the silly jokes and laughs. :-)

First and foremost I think this is one of the better movies out there right now. And like all better movies, it won’t do too well in the box office (cause people like dumb movies). Anyhooos….the storyline is good but one must already have a rough idea of the England’s history or at least regarding King Henry VIII and his wives to fully grasp the plot.
Scarlett Johansson, Natalie Portman & Eric Bana really deliver well in their respective roles. I know some people may have doubts on Scarlet but I feel she did very well in this movie. Natalie Portman is excellent as usual and so is Eric Bana. Maybe the plot could have a bit more oomph but its always risky cause it might make the movie too complex.
Overall, I really enjoyed watching the movie but then again I’m a sucker for England history movies. Especially when it relates to Queen Elizabeth I.

I had always enjoyed the fillers in between articles in Reader's Digest. This is one of my favorites. Taken from Reader's Digest, March 1992.
Critics's Corner
From a book review: "This is yet another fine example of what is wrong with the publishing industry: turning what would have been very good magazine articles into not very good books."
- Joe Queenan in the American Spectator
In a review of a restaurant: "It would have been faster to walk to the supermarket, buy lettucem rinse it in the bathroom sink, mash the anchovies with the dull end of a pen and grate the Parmesan against the table leg than get a Ceasar salad on a busy weekday."
- Bryan Miller in New York Times
About a TV program: "This show has an exceptionally hollow core. If this were a tree, dozens of endangered species could build lifesaving nests in its center, with room left to set up a magazine stand."
-David Hinckley in New York Times
Coup De Grace for an author: "He's written a number of children's books - but not on purpose."

Overall: 2/10
Short Story: Draggy & VERY thin plotline.
For this 3 hour crap, I might as well watch a Bollywood movie for all that matter! At least the plotline there is more interesting and they can sing and dance their way through the movie. O my god, this movie is really awful. Why even bother make a movie. Why not just Angelina Jolie the whole budget for this movie so she can feed those poor starving children!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The only reason I gave this movie a 2 and not 0 is because I though Kiera Knightly was hot.
Now seriously, don't waste your money watching this piece of shit but instead put your money into something better!

Don’t get me wrong this movie is not terrible or anything but it’s just mediocre to me. Storyline wise that is. The animation is good. But a movie SHOULD be about a good plot line and this film falls short of that.
The characters have potential but they weren’t expanded. Maybe I would favor this film more if I was 14 or 15 years old but the problem is I’m not. As my friend said it, it’s a movie full of one liners. It’s entertaining to watch with a friend for a good laugh but don’t expect too much. Hollywood movies these days are really lacking the one thing they should focus on and that is a good story to tell and not just a bunch of funny scenes stitch together into 1 movie regardless of its flow.
I don't know how they did it, but The Incredibles & Cars really had it on target. Shrek seem to have all the elements but the magic is not there somehow. Maybe it's just the Disney magic. Or maybe I'm just a sucker for good ol' fashion story telling.
